Unlike conventional cotton, GOTS certified organic cotton has not been treated with special shrink resistant chemistry. As cotton can shrink at high temperatures, it is recommended that you use lower temperatures for both washing and drying. The towels can be washed at 40 degrees with a short spin and tumbled dried at a low temperature. At the same time, it will preserve the handmade embroideries. Bleach should be avoided. Note: In many countries they use cold water detergents for lower washing temperatures, thereby also benefitting the environment.
