The handmade ceramic floral bottle is lead and cadmium free – hence useable for storing food ware. It contains approximately 0,8 liter and is 30 cm in height. Circumference is 27 cm, and it weighs app. 740 gr. The bottom is signed by the artist.

The beautiful Akile bottle has adorable motifs of tulips in blue, red and green colors on a white backdrop, giving it both an artistic and inspiring look. The story of the tulip flower is world famous. When it first came to Europe, from Turkey, in the 16th century, it almost immediately became extremely popular. So much, that a single bulb exceeded the price of a house and triggered a genuine “tulip war”. In Turkey, you will find different kinds of tulip motifs, decorating many of the great historic buildings, palaces, and mosques, as well as you will find the tulip in various handiwork, art, textiles and ceramics. The tulip originates from Turkey and is today the country’s national flower.

Where the renowned Iznik workshops were closely connected to the royal court, the artisans in Kütahya mainly produced elegant and sophisticated household ceramics to the higher middle classes. Throughout the last centuries, Kütahya has developed into a major ceramic area, famous for their outstanding quality and breathtaking designs and handicraft.
